Most medium-sized residential electric heaters (4.5kW to 9.0kW) require a dedicated 220V–240V, 30-amp to 40-amp circuit, wired with a GFCI breaker. Very small infrared saunas can run on standard 110V wall outlets. We handle all planning and coordination to make hookup incredibly straightforward.

It depends on your preference. Traditional Saunas use an electric or wood stove to heat the air up to 180°F–200°F. You pour water over hot stones to create therapeutic steam (wet heat). Infrared Saunas run cooler (120°F–140°F) and use invisible light waves to warm your body directly. Infrared is excellent for deep tissue relief and lower heat sensitivity, while traditional offers the authentic high-heat steam experience.

In most residential areas of Billings, small accessory structures under 120 square feet do not require a building permit. Our standard barrel and cabin saunas comfortably fit within these dimensions. However, setbacks from property lines and specific HOA guidelines should always be confirmed, which we assist with during our site check.
